For lovers of extreme sports, Le Barcarès is open all year round. This is an out-of-the-ordinary activity during the holidays. From beginners to advanced water skiers, kneeboarders and wakeboarders. Safe learning supervised by qualified instructors (Brevet d'Etat) whatever your previous sports' experience. The bends and curves in the circuit are easy to handle. Open to children from the age of 8.

Cable water skiing in Port-Barcarès was built in 1971. Historically, this was the first installation in France and the third in the world. It is also the only seawater facility in France. The Brunet family has run the cable water ski facilities for the last 26 years. In 2004, they modernised the complete structure, and the circuit has the highest traction in Europe: 10m above the surface of the water minimum in order to execute advanced tricks (railey, back roll and front flip...)
