Following in the footsteps of the pilgrims and the travellers who stopped off at the Hospici d'illa as early as the Middle Ages, enter an exceptional monument and discover through the alcoves the different aspects of Catalan heritage: Romanesque frescoes, altar front pieces, Romanesque altar pieces, medieval and baroque statues, gold and silver craftwork … In the Tet valley with its countryside which has been sculpted by Romanesque and Baroque art, the Hospici d'Illa invites you to go back in time with the help of the exhibition « The progression of the Catalan builder » whose chapters on the Romanesque and Baroque periods place the objects in an historical, artistic and social context. Each year, the Hospici d'Illa organises temporary exhibitions.
