The natural elements were essential silica (sand carried by mule at the mouth of Tech in Argelès-sur-Mer), samphire (picked at the edge of the lagoon), wood (oak and beech, cut in the plain of Roussillon).
Today at the Palace of glass, wood is replaced by natural gas network, samphire by fluxes (lime, sodium and potash, or lead for the crystal).
In the workshop, there are three arches and a furnace of annealing.
The tour of the workshop glass companions is a spectacle which combines talent and emotion. Find the original art of glassblowing made by a blowpipe.
