The love in Catalan cooking
Since 2003, under the label Toques Blanches du Roussillon, forty chefs gathered together are stimulating the culinary arts department in the South of France : the Pyrenees-Orientals.
Their mission is triple :
- Maintain, disseminate and promote cooking and culinary knowledge of the Pyrenees-Orientals
- promote learning and stimulate young professional
- promote local products.
These leaders draw all their inspiration in the Catalan coloured land. From the Mediterranean to the plains and into the Pyrenean peaks, their cooking is full of contrasts and flavors.
Palais Gourmand : unique gastronomic event in France
Les Toques blanches du Roussillon are also the source of a major culinary event: the Palais Gourmand.
Held at the Palais des Expositions in Perpignan, the event allows visitors - more than 1600 the March 28, 2010 -, with a glass and a cup in the hand to enjoy
over 39 dishes associated with the best wines and
local produce.
